An accident occurred on the Gowanus Expressway at the divider that splits traffic toward the BQE or the Battery Tunnel, when a vehicle crashed into it. Two Boro Park buchurim, both trained EMTs, happened to pass by and stopped to provide medical assistance and call for help. Firefighters arrived shortly after, and while attending to the scene, two people from the vehicle packed their belongings and fled on foot to an unknown location, leaving the vehicle behind.
