Thank you to Zali Ritholtz for his beautiful cover art: https://www.instagram.com/runflowart/ --------------------------------------------------- A lot going on in the world And it all happened so fast It's hard to come up with a question that somebody else didn't already ask Why is all of this happening Wonder what could be the message And with all the darkness that has come upon us, how do we stay focused on the blessings I'm not one to give the answers But maybe I can give some food for thought Cause I been thinking to myself a lot About all these battles that our people fought The difference is now it's in front of our eyes As we push our differences aside Used to be off key but now it seems as though our nation has harmonized And we remind ourselves who we're serving Realizing we're deserving All the times that we think we got our hands on the wheel and G-d sends us swerving It's a tragedy that tragedies are what brings us together But now that we have the opportunity in front of us, let's use it to better Ourselves, and work as one Everybody in sync Remember that Hashem has the ability to make it all stop in the blink Of an eye, but obviously there's a mission that we must accomplish And we can only do it as one people As we look up to the sky and scream I been standing so tall for You I been breaking down walls for You Flying through my ceiling for You I been reaching new heights for You Making sacrifices for You Giving all my everything for You I just wanna rise above for You Above for You So now that we've all come together A lot of new questions arise The biggest one being, what can we do while our brothers are fighting on the front lines And the answer you probably already know, but I wanna get into the why Whether it's learning, davening, or helping send over supplies I learned from my rebbe that Klal Yisrael is one unit, one body And when one fights he gives a hundred percent With his whole body, entirely We are trying to be the heart and the lips while they serve as our hands That means Torah and Tefillah are crucial, you have to understand And don't forget about Chesed In whatever way speaks to you You have the chance to give of yourself, and that's what we all need to do Cause if we're there for each other Then I don't think we can lose Am Yisrael Am Echad, something you won't hear on the news, nah And that brings us full circle Cause it all comes down to Achdus Whether we on the army base or in the beis medrash Everybody can't play the same position but we all on the same team Every person, every being As we look up to the sky and scream I been standing so tall for You I been breaking down walls for You Flying through my ceiling for You I been reaching new heights for You Making sacrifices for You Giving all my everything for You I just wanna rise above for You Above for You
