The time of Chanukah is one of those amazing miracles that we will be celebrating, commemorating, and appreciating this week. But when we say Al Hanisim in our tefilot we not only mention the miracle of the Chanukah, we praise Hashem for ALL of the miracles He did and continues to do for us Bayamim Hahem Bazman Hazeh, in those days and in our time. The song Al Hanisim takes us through the history of our amazing nation, from our patriarch Avraham Avinu until today. The idea is to help us visualize the awesome love that Hashem has for us throughout all of the generations, and open our eyes to the “smaller miracles" he does for each of us.... every single day.
