Flying Hope 3: A Gaza evacuee and pediatric cancer patient finds hope in helicopter transport
Shani lived in Kibbutz Reim with her family before October 7th. When the war broke out, her father was shot by a terrorist, and her uncle was killed by Hamas. Shani and her family were evacuated to Eilat. But Shani suffers from cancer and is being treated at a hospital in the center of the country. To go to her appointments Shani and her mother would have to travel for four hours in each direction through dangerous areas. Luckily for Shani, United Hatzalah's pediatric cancer medevac program exists to cut down her travel times and fly her safely to her treatments during this trying time. ◆◆◆◆◆◆◆ United Hatzalah is Israel's largest volunteer emergency medical service that provides free, volunteer-based emergency response throughout Israel.
