My Dear Mother taught me: 🔥 A good kishke needs to be… 🔴 Red like uncel Esav 🍯 Sweet like Zeidy Yaakov 💁‍♀️ Beautiful like Mama Rochel 💧 And salty like Mama Leah’s tears …so feel free to add 1 tbsp of sugar 😉 ✨ Homemade Kishka for the Cholent! ✨ 🥣 Mix together: • 1 cup flour • 1/2 cup oil • 1/4 cup water • 1 tbsp paprika • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1/4 tsp black pepper • (Optional 😊) 1 tbsp sugar 👋 Mix well and knead for a couple minutes. 🥤 Shaping tip: Line a tall round cup with a plastic bag, press the dough inside, and freeze for about 2 hours (or until you’re ready to cook). 🔥 Once it’s stiff enough, place the kishka into the cholent or directly into boiling water. ⏳ Cook at least 2 hours — but a 24-hour cholent cook gives you the absolute best kishka ever 😍
