I wrote ‘מחכה’ as a conversation with Hashem, but it can really be a conversation in any relationship. It’s about searching, chasing, falling, getting back up, and not giving up even when it gets confusing as to what you’re running after, and you feel exhausted. There are moments when you’re still running, still trying, but you don’t know if anyone is really there or if the chase is worth anything. This song gives a space to sit in that uncertainty, without the need to change anything.
