Two Men Arrested After Midnight Stabbing in Blooming Grove

Two men were arrested after they stabbed a man outside his home in Blooming Grove around midnight. State police say 20-year-old Josue Fabian Huilca Rea and 26-year-old Jony David Perez Sanchez waited outside the victim’s house on Higgins Trail and attacked him. The victim, who lives in Blooming Grove, was stabbed and then went to the Aizer Health Center in Kiryas Joel, thinking it was a hospital open all night. From there, he called 911. He was taken by Kiryas Joel EMS to Garnet Health Medical Center, where he is in stable condition. Huilca Rea was charged with assault, gang assault, and menacing. Perez Sanchez was also charged, including with third-degree assault.
