Israeli Officials Explain the Real Reason for Drafting the Chareidim (Ultra-Orthodox): INTEGRATION

This is a compilation of statements from Israeli government officials about the purpose of the Chareidi draft (giyus). Well now there is much talk of 'replacing the ranks' we must remember that the push for Chareidi enlistment came long before the current conflict and always had one primary goal: to integrate the ultra-orthodox into the general Israeli/Zionist society. In other words, to imbue the Chareidim with the ideas of Zionism and create a 'bridge' between Chareidi society and secular Israelis. This is what the Rabbonim and Roshei Yeshiva for generations have said is, in no unclear terms, יהרג ואל יעבור!.
