He says that HaShem detests stinginess, and it is one of the reasons someone might get the spiritual and physical disease of tzara'at. Rabbi Reuven highlights the mitzvah of "kimcha d'pischa," giving charity to the poor, especially before Passover. He shares a story about a wealthy man who refused to give charity and was punished by HaShem. Rabbi Reuven emphasizes that stinginess is not just about lacking money but is a problem of faith in HaShem. He explains that a stingy person does not believe that HaShem can provide for them, and therefore they are unwilling to give away their money. He says that stinginess brings judgment upon oneself and prevents one from becoming closer to HaShem.
