Like most pandas, she could only care for one cub - she simply didn't believe she had enough milk or energy for two. But the keepers knew better. They developed a brilliant strategy: Every few hours, they would distract Lily with honey water, swap one twin for the other, and let her nurse. Throughout the day and night, she fed BOTH cubs - while thinking she only had one. The result? Both twins survived and thrived. Lily had MORE than enough. She was capable of MORE than she thought.
