A Legacy of Courage: Honoring Yossi Hershkovitz HY"D
Yossi Hershkovitz was a dedicated principal of a large boys' school in Jerusalem. At 44, he wasn’t required to serve in the reserves anymore, but when the war broke out on Simchat Torah, he felt it was his duty to go. Without hesitation, he packed his things and left to fulfill his role. Tragically, during a Shabbat meal, his family received the heartbreaking news that Yossi had fallen. He left behind five children, each needing immense support as they navigate life without their father. Thanks to Colel Chabad, his family received help through meaningful programs and support, allowing them to rebuild their routine and find strength in difficult times. This initiative honors Yossi’s memory by supporting widows and children who have lost loved ones, ensuring they receive the care and comfort they need.
