United Hatzalah recently hosted a historic event at Tel Aviv’s Hangar 11, where over 1,000 female medical volunteers gathered for the largest assembly of its kind. This event honored the lifesaving work of these women, many of whom were on the frontlines during the October 7th attacks. The evening also marked the dedication of Israel’s first all-female emergency medical response team, the Adele and Joel Sandberg Women’s Unit. With 1,763 volunteers from diverse backgrounds, the unit includes EMTs, paramedics, doctors, and social workers who respond to medical and psychological emergencies nationwide. The night featured powerful stories from volunteers and a special performance by Israeli singer Hanan Ben Ari. ◆◆◆◆◆◆◆ United Hatzalah is Israel's largest volunteer emergency medical service that provides free, volunteer-based emergency response throughout Israel.
