But only internal challenges have the capacity to sink the ship. No person who is fully cognizant of the evil he is doing and the destruction it will unleash will follow the unhealthy impulses of his heart. Thus the destructive fiery passion must appear to be "white." This means that a person justifies his behavior. Either he views it as harmless indulgences or he justifies it due to circumstances. We must be very careful with the stories we tell ourselves, because those stories become our thoughts, and our thoughts become our actions.
