Thousands of Dutch citizens—most of them not Jewish—took to the streets to express their solidarity with Israel and to denounce the violent pogrom that targeted Maccabi Tel Aviv fans in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. This rally was particularly significant because it happened despite opposition from the mayor of Amsterdam, who had previously made harsh statements against Israel, even in the aftermath of the pogrom. Yet, against the odds, the event went ahead and drew an impressive crowd of supporters. What makes this story even more extraordinary is how it began. It all started with a simple Instagram story by Israeli singer Yair Levi, who asked his followers, “Who among my followers lives in the Netherlands?” Hundreds responded, and this small act of engagement snowballed into a movement. Organizations that support Israel, particularly Christians for Israel, joined in to help organize and amplify the event, turning it into a powerful statement of unity and resistance against antisemitism. This event highlights an important truth: there are millions of people around the world who support Israel and oppose antisemitism. Unfortunately, their voices are often overshadowed in mainstream media, leaving many of them afraid to publicly express their views. I hope the courage of these Dutch citizens inspires others around the globe to speak out, take action, and stand up against hatred. This story deserves to be shared widely, as it has the potential to ignite hope and motivate others to join the fight against antisemitism and for Israel
